Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger

Economist or rock star? Maybe it’s not either/or after all. This group of economics postgraduates at UCLA have made an amazing rap video paying tribute to Daft Punk and the drive for statistical significance. Come for the beats, stay for the academics-versus-robots battle at the end.

    Rock? Please. Rap is a very distant cousin of rock music. Yea, still in the same tree but this branch is so far from the trunk that it’s hardly recognizable. The background is usually the “rock” part but the vocals are what sends the music to the far reaches of the rock genre.
