					<description><![CDATA[Great example of a country thinking ahead rather than just following conservative monetary policies. Iceland is by no means in the clear but credit to them for using more drastic measures to handle the recession in a more effective way, it seems, than the EU countries. Countries should not be scared of introducing their own monetary policies and personally governing them. One could say that Iceland&#039;s gamble paid off but it could have quite easily backfired and with the extreme debt to GDP ratio they have, it could&#039;ve been quite a disaster.
