It's amusing (and somewhat depressing) the cycle of economic depression related to economic theory that has occurred in the 20th and now the 21st Century. Just as Keynes repaired the damage of the Great Depression brought on by Laissez-faire economics, a clamour for a reintroduction of Keynesian policy in the face of another financial crisis occurring due to deregulation.

Hi !

In your post you have mentioned - "John Maynard Keynes was born in 1893 the same year that Karl Marx died, and whilst both wrote critiques of the capitalist system here the similarities end."
To the best of my knowledge John Maynard Keynes was born in 5 June 1883.
So i am bit confused.....Please do reply.

With Regards
Amrita
